Buying your 1st 'Real' Guitar for under $80.00

Posted by Eric Robinson on July 9, 2012 at 11:05 AM

Many people are interested in Learning to Play the Guitar - But, are under the impression that it's Really Expensive to get started.  In this Blog Entry, I'm going to talk about getting your 1st Guitar - without draining your Bank Account!

---

---

1st things 1st - There is a lot of information on about 'How' & 'Where' to buy Inexpensive Guitars - in other posts that I've already posted.  So feel free to check those Entries as well.

Alright - Getting an actual 'Real Guitar' for under $80.00 is very possible & can happen.  But, you got to be Patient.  The most important thing to look at is - Don't be too Picky!!!  Usually, your 1st Guitar will be exactly that.  Meaning - more than likely you will Up-Grade into a Better Guitar at a later time.

---You want to make sure the distance between the Strings & the Fretboard is even, with No Bowing in the Neck.  Otherwise, Just realize this is a Starter Guitar.  It will allow you to find out if Guitar is for you...      - Not all people have the ability to Play, even with Instruction.

---

---

As mentioned in a Previous Entry - Places to get 'Used Guitars' are On-line Classified Ads (News Paper Classified Ads), Pawn Shops, Garage Sales & Music Instrument Stores.  If your not 'TOO PICKY' - I've seen a bunch of Great Starter 'Used' Guitars as Inexpensive as $30.00-40.00.

---

---

Keep in Mind - If your Income is very Limited to buy a Guitar.  An 'Acoustic Guitar' might be a good way to start.  With an 'Electric Guitar' - You'll also need an Amplifier.  That way you (and others) can Hear your Guitar.

------If Rock or Heavier Music is your favorite - Go with an Electric!!!  If an Electric Guitar is your choice, there are alot of people that purchased 'Electric Guitar Starter Kits'.  These Kits have all you'd need to get started on Electric Guitar & you can usually get them for about $100.00.

-----------Otherwise, another way is - Buying each item by itself.  You can buy the Electric Guitar 1st  and a Guitar Amplifier 2nd.  You'll also need Cable to connect the Guitar to the Amplifier.

---

---

You'll have to weigh your Options, Wants & Needs - when purchasing your 1st Guitar.   If you plan on moving into an Electric Guitar as your 2nd Guitar - Why not start with an Electric Guitar?  But on the other hand,  If all you have is $50.00 available (total) - an Acoustic Guitar might be a Better Option.

---

---

Many Guitarist will start with a Cheap/Inexpensive Guitar & Up-Grade to a Better Guitar, once they have Learned how to Play.  This is a Very Common Practice.

------So - If your on a Tight Budget, a Guitar is still in reach!!!!!!
